SnapOrdina organizes screenshots selected through Apple’s Photos permissions. It reads screenshot images, creation and modification dates, and local Photos identifiers. It recognizes text and codes using Apple Vision and, when available and enabled, uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models to help organize and search them.
SnapOrdina does not send screenshots or recognized text to a developer-operated server or an external AI service. It does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or an account system. PhotoKit may download originals from your own iCloud Photos account when you enable the iCloud download setting. Sharing content through an action you choose sends that content to your selected destination under that destination’s policies.
The app stores recognized text, labels, tags, detected links, contact details, addresses, amounts, local Photos identifiers, dates, and favorites in its local application container with iOS file protection. This metadata is excluded from device backups. Original screenshots remain in Photos and follow your Photos and iCloud settings. Detected information comes from recognized text and codes. External apps open only when you tap an action.
Spotlight indexing is optional and off by default. If enabled, screenshot text and metadata can appear in system search on your device, including sensitive text present in screenshots. The Spotlight index uses complete file protection and is updated only while the iPhone is unlocked. Turning Spotlight off removes SnapOrdina’s Spotlight index.
You can change Photos permissions in iOS Settings. SnapOrdina hides screenshots outside your allowed selection and removes them from its Spotlight index. Their metadata and corrections stay in the protected cache so they can be restored if access returns. With full Photos access, a scan removes records for screenshots no longer in Photos. Clearing the SnapOrdina library removes cached organization metadata and the Spotlight index while preserving Photos originals. Deleting the app removes its local container.
The explicit Copy action places text on the device-local clipboard with a two-minute expiry. You control any further copying or sharing.
